With our brand Geocean, we offer our clients a globally recognised expertise in shallow water marine works. We thus carry out highly technical turnkey projects (EPCI) for energy players.

Thanks to our agile structure and our proprietary tools, equipment and technologies, we are able to work on all terrains, including the most complex ones, in particular for subsea infrastructure for oil and gas terminals – conventional buoy mooring (CBM), single buoy mooring (SBM), floating storage regasification unit (FSRU) – or offshore water intakes and outfalls (energy, desalination and water treatment).

Geocean is also specialised in landfall and sinking works. It is able to propose the most suitable design for the site constraints, and to implement solutions ranging from horizontal directional drilling (HDD) to micro-tunneling and standard pipeline laying.

Our extensive engineering capabilities, supported by our own Engineering Department and internal synergies with the support of VINCI Construction Grands Projets’ Engineering Department, enable us to support our clients throughout the project life cycle, from the study phase (bathymetry, geophysics, topography, geodesy) to the delivery and commissioning of the infrastructure.

The experience gained from major projects on five continents is the basis of our ability to develop tailor-made and competitive solutions to our clients’ specific technical and environmental challenges.

PIPES FOR WATER TREATMENT, MINING AND POWER GENERATION

We engineer, procure, manufacture and install subsea water pipes for sewage and desalination plants, for power plant cooling circuits and for the mining industry, in all materials: high density polyethylene (HDPE), glass reinforced plastic (GRP), steel… depending on the constraints imposed by the environment of each project.

PIPES FOR THE TRANSPORT OF HYDROCARBONS

Our expertise in all methods of pipeline installation in shallow waters (S-lay, push-pull, bottom pull or towing) guarantees that our clients will find the most appropriate solutions for their projects, particularly for the installation of any terminal connection infrastructure, both onshore and offshore.

EXPERTISE FOR THE ENERGY TRANSITION

Geocean is also leveraging its historical expertise in the oil and gas and hydraulic industries to develop projects that promote the energy transition, in particular marine renewable energy and ultra-deep-sea water cooling systems.

  • SWAC SYSTEMS

We design and install seawater air-conditioning systems (SWAC) for more energy-efficient buildings. Due to the significant difference in temperature between surface and deep water, ocean thermal energy (OTE) and SWACs thus offer sustainable solutions for cooling systems and clean energy production.
Operating in a complex environment, in the heart of a sensitive local ecosystem that we take care to preserve, we have developed a specialised department and operate at all latitudes, at a depth of 0 to 1,000 metres.

  • FLOATING WIND

We assist our clients from the definition of their needs for the design of development, construction and operation projects of floating wind farms, notably through early contractor involvement (ECI) contracts.
